This little beauty came down on a shrub in the garden and seemed a little stunned. It was quite tame and not scared at all, posed quite prettily to have his photo taken. Initially I thought he was injured, but no, he just wanted to say hello and then flew away.

ReplyDeleteThe gorgeous colours and patterns on the lorikeet must have been designed that way to appeal to birds of the opposite sex.
ReplyDeleteBut the colours are too stand-out to protect the lorikeet hiding in the trees from any pursuing enemy.
