MYER CHRISTMAS WINDOWS 2012

Myer is a big Department store in Australia, with its flagship store on Bourke St, in Melbourne. The Myer Christmas Windows, is Myer’s gift to the city of Melbourne, an this tradition celebrates its 57th year in 2012, with the highly anticipated unveiling this year’s theme, a beautiful tribute to a much-loved children's book, Rob Scotton's "Russell's Christmas Magic".

Each year the new theme of the Christmas Windows remains a heavily guarded secret while the clever artists, animators and craftspeople are creating their magic for over six months to bring this Christmas tradition to Myer’s many Christmas visitors.

After viewing the windows, customers are invited to head up to level 3 to the children's floor and have a photo taken with a life-sized 3D hero character from this year’s animated Christmas windows.

This post is part of the Signs, Signs meme.

  6. Wow Nick. These came up really well. The Myer Christmas windows are a true Melbourne tradition. Good to have a look early in the season as December will bring crowds and long queues making it difficult to get good shots. Thx.

  7. Oh how fun! We used to take our kids to the nearest "real" city during the Holidays, especially to look at the Holiday windows. Yours look wonderful.

  8. These are so beautiful so clear. Like I am looking through the windows again. I am so glad you got to go there and take all of them. That brings back memories of my childhood . My parents took me every year.

Thank you for your sharing to us.
