Montsalvat in Eltham (an outer Eastern suburb in Melbourne), is an Artist Colony and Gallery, a venue for exhibitions and concerts. One can take a lesson from one of the resident artists in guitar building or take an art class. Also there are many varied expos held on-site throughout the year.
One the highlights is the beautiful, rambling grounds and gardens that can be explored at leisure. There are many wonderful places for fantastic photos and this little birdhouse was discovered in a garden nook close to the boundaries of the property. The limpid blue sky is characteristic of a Melbourne late summer/early autumn. For more of my photos from Montsalvat, visit my other blog here.

Well captured Nick with the rose-hips from the rambling rose adding an interesting dash of red.
ReplyDeleteLovely shot.

Such beautiful blue skies and I, too, like the dash of red! Lovely bird house as well! Looks as though it would accommodate a number of birds! Hope you have a great weekend! Enjoy!

I love the sound of Montsalvat Nick, and of course an artists colony has to have beautiful rambling gardens. Nicely composed shot for todays theme.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot and sounds like a great place.
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSky watch, have a lovely weekend!
The birdhouse would pass for a full size building if the context was removed! I wonder do the birds appreciate that??!!
ReplyDeletePretty sky! The birdhouse is cute too. :)
