MALING RD FLOWERS

Maling Rd is a beautiful old-fashioned shopping street in Canterbury, an established suburb to the east of the CBD. It contains over fifty Edwardian-style shops in a pseudo-village setting. Its location was chosen due to its proximity to Canterbury railway station.

MALING RD, CANTERBURY

Walking down Maling Road, Canterbury is like walking into yesteryear. This quaint street, since its humble beginnings in 1800s effectively preserved its old time feel Edwardian setting and physical fabric. Furthermore, its proximity to the Melbourne’s CBD (just 20 minute short drive) makes Maling Road shopping village both a nearby destination and a time traveling opportunity. Maling Road appealed and inspired local and international film crews.

Tourists flock to visit Maling Road’s distinct murals (located at Maling Walk next to the Village on the railway wall) depicting significant historical stages of the Maling Road Precinct, from the foundation of the railway in 1885 until today.
