The Banksia-Dundas Sts Bridge over the Darebin Creek was opened on 27 November 1987. The footbridge was constructed during the Darebin Creek trail redevelopment and links the three suburbs of Heidelberg, Northcote and Preston. The trail provides many opportunities for walking, cycling and other leisure activities in the midst of a bustling metropolis.
