SPRING AT THE FAIRFIELD BOATHOUSE
Today we had our first true Spring day in Melbourne! The sun shone all day, the temperature climbed steadily until it reached 19˚C and the lovely weather induced us to go out for a walk in the middle of the day. We could hardly fail to notice the trees blossoming: Wattles, grevilleas, wild plums, almonds, magnolias...
A cup of coffee in the sunshine at the Fairfield Boathouse, while looking out onto the Yarra and the Fairfield Pipe Bridge was true bliss!

The second image with the stillness of the water is amazing. Happy spring! We're almost to fall here but it's 100 degrees out today . . .
ReplyDeleteBi Nick, I am inspired to get a lovely iced coffee to drink right now. Smile. However,I would not be where you were with such a beautiful place to enjoy. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteWe are watching the Olympics as I attempt to visit all of my special participants on Blue Monday.
Thank you for joining Blue Monday and being so faithful even when I can't visit.

If a person is going to enjoy a break from work or home, this would be the place to sit and contemplate the meaning of life.
ReplyDeleteI want to rest on those benches overlooking the water. So peaceful! Thank you for linking in with "Through My Lens"
