FAIRFIELD RAILWAY STATION

Fairfield railway station is located on the Hurstbridge line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the north-eastern Melbourne suburb of Fairfield opening as Fairfield Park on 8 May 1888, being renamed Fairfield on 14 November 1943.

Fairfield was the junction station for the former Outer Circle railway line from 1891 to 1893 and the APM Siding from 1919 to the 1990s. Boom barriers replaced interlocked gates at the Station Street level crossing in 1969.
