This is my neighbourhood shopping centre, a traditional shopping strip along a main road, Station Street in Fairfield. It is a small, friendly shopping strip with a good variety of stores and quite a large selection of cafés, restaurants and pastry shops. The glorious Autumn-toned trees are wild pears, which are still holding onto their leaves quite tenaciously although we are now into the first month of Winter.

It could be the main street in our closest town! The wild pear trees are pretty. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteHere our oak trees hold on to their leaves tenaciously and then drop them with the first snow ... but of course one can't rake leaves in the snow so they stay in the yard all winter and are quite the mess to clean up in the spring. That said, I love the beautiful fall colors of your wild pear trees ... and what a friendly and inviting community you live in. Very nice, Nick ...

ReplyDeleteWe too have trees with autumn leaves and I have one confused tree in my garden - as I did last year - displaying autumn leaves AND some white blossoms. A strange sight. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteWe are in the midst of a heat wave. I bet it's a lot cooler where you are. Wish I could visit that nice street you posted about.
ReplyDeletewow, you can visit this street just to see those trees. They are very decorative. :)
