Melbourne has been voted the coffee capital of Australia. Everywhere in the City, the air is filled with the aroma of espresso coming from a myriad of cafés. Further afield, Carlton, Richmond, St Kilda, Fitzroy, South Melbourne and Prahran also offer great café strips, with a more laid-back feel.

Oh my, these are wonderful shots. I love cafés and thought until now that Vancouver must be the coffee capitol.
ReplyDeleteI went to the crown building where the Casino is and had a large cappuccino and delicious cake. NZ people like my daughter fly to Melbourne for shopping.
ReplyDeleteMy office is in Flinders Lane, so I like to think I own the coffee shops in Degraves St and other lanes within walking distance :) I am usually strong about not eating cakes... but ohhhhhhhh,, your last photo *moan*
ReplyDeleteYum! for both the coffee and food. It's just as well that there's only one cafe that serves really good coffee in my area and it's in the next town over, since I can't have coffee that much any more. Sigh. I can almost smell the aroma of coffee in your photos. Thanks!

Melbourne's lanes have so much more atmosphere and charm then many of the main streets. Some of my favourite haunts in this series Nick.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I love that second one.
ReplyDeleteForget about the coffee, I want those cakes! :-)
