Yesterday, while driving to go to a fĂȘte, we came across this mural in Roberts St, Westgarth. It is in quite an obscure location, where not many people would find it. It is painted on a large roller door and the ribbed metal surface adds another dimension to the work.
The mural is by Sam King, an emerging British artist working within the mediums painting, murals, illustration and installation. His work fuses figuration with futurism and Eastern influence. Sam King's website can be found here.

Good find. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteCertainly makes the garage door look much better. Good find!
ReplyDeleteThat is a fine mural on that garage door. Would like to see the rest of the murals on this building.
ReplyDeleteAdds a bright spot to an otherwise dull building. Awesome work!
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful. I hope the mural gets hung in a museum or elsewhere should the building get demolished.
ReplyDeleteInteresting work. Good find and information!
ReplyDeleteHi Nick, this mural is a great find. The ripple of the door does give this painting more drama. The profile image is realistic and so well done. Thank you for some great photos and share for Blue Monday.
ReplyDeleteI also appreciate your very lovely comment on my post.
Have a great week .
