"The biggest cliché in photography is sunrise and sunset." - Catherine Opie
But what a wonderful cliché it is, nevertheless! Walking to work on the Sandridge Bridge, one has the opportunity to see the full glory of the rising sun over the Yarra River in Melbourne City. The crescent moon was a bonus.

I never get tired of them! Wonderful photos :)
ReplyDeleteTo me, God's ever changing handiwork in the sunrises and sunsets is never a cliche! Just worth photographing over and over and over.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunrise in the city!
ReplyDeleteNo two sunrises or sunsets are ever the same, so how could they be cliches?
I agree with RamblingRound - they are God's beautiful handiwork!
Have a great week-end!

ReplyDeleteFantastic sunrise-that´s a good start in to a new day!
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome shots. I love the composition of the first photo, the colours of the second shot and the reflection in the third capture.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend.

With skies like that I would be walking to work every day!
ReplyDeleteLovely sunset and beautiful reflections. Gorgeous photos! Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies.
ReplyDeleteI may be a cliche - but it still looks good. And I tend to think the a lot of people who write things about photograph forget that for most people the "theory" of photography is largely irrelevant.
