ReplyDeleteLast year I visited Hopetoun House just outside of Edinburgh. A statuette in the foyer looked familiar - turns out the 6th Earl (Lord Hopetoun) was the Governor of Victoria and Australia's first Governor-General and his wife is associated with the Tearooms that bear their name. The full sized version of that statue is in the Kings Domain.
