There is a reputation for rain in the city, which is statistically unfounded as Melbourne receives only 50 percent of the average rainfall of either Brisbane or Sydney. Perhaps it can sometimes be a little unpredictable. Nevertheless, it is a comfortable environment to live in whatever the season. In fact it is a great place to watch the seasons change, they are so clearly defined and so highly visual within the many parks and gardens of autumn and spring, giving rise to all of natures spectacular beauty and charms within the confines of a great city.

I still find it difficult to get my head around you having fall when we have spring/summer happening! Seasonal change is nice though isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI love the flowers but just cant peel my eyes off the last one. The ripples and the odd orange leaf. Just superb!
ReplyDeleteLovely capture of flowers against the blue sky.
ReplyDeleteI'm not always too happy with the snow and the rain that we sometimes have, but I couldn't live without the seasons. Your top photo with the flowers is my favorite, I like the point of view! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI like how you got the first photo looking UP at the flowers! A different perspective. Nice shots and information.
ReplyDeleteLovely, peaceful skies and the perfect backdrop for the beautiful flowers! As always, I love your composition and perspective! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Nick!
ReplyDeleteFantastic captures of great variety.
ReplyDeleteI love those photos - the first one is particularly beautiful from the different perspective, but that last one is so simple, yet gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteThat first shot is wonderful. The last one is very peaceful too.
ReplyDeleteI love it when it rains, it makes me think that all bad earth's bad energies are washed out and the air made clear again. :D
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! Happy sky watching.

Great shots, Nick. My favorite is the first sky one with lovely flowers.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful yellow reaching for the sky! And there is something quite haunting about the street scene! No one walking maybe! But especially love the autumn leaf floating in the ripple of water.
ReplyDeleteGreat puddle shot, sort of summing up your whole post!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

ReplyDeletethe 2nd photo looks like one of our nicer neighborhoods.:p
Pictures are gorgeous and actually make me miss living in a 4-seasons kind of place. We are happy to be missing Winter now that we're old(er)...but I am glad we -- or or kids -- didn't grow up here where there really are only two seasons...dry and wet!
ReplyDeleteAh, the colors of Fall. So pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteMiss autumn much. Wonderful the last picture. Please have a good weekend ahead.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, as expected, from you!
ReplyDeleteThe first one is my fav. The colors attract.
